Sandboarding and Canyons
of Agadir.

A half-day outdoor excursion from Agadir combining two distinct environments: the sand dunes south of the city for sandboarding, and the canyon landscape of the Sous valley foothills. The sandboarding section uses a moderate dune face where guides demonstrate the technique of angling the board and shifting weight before you attempt it yourself. Boards are basic foam or fibreglass designs; the activity is accessible to anyone able to walk up a dune and has no prerequisite experience. After the dune section, the tour moves into canyon terrain - narrow gorges of eroded red and orange rock, dry riverbeds, and in some areas rock arches - which feels genuinely remote despite being within 40 minutes of the Agadir seafront. The canyon walk is a short guided hike of 30 to 45 minutes. Mint tea is typically served at a natural stopping point. Transport from Agadir hotels is included. The full outing runs 3 to 4 hours. This is a good combination for travellers who want two contrasting landscape experiences in one outing without a full-day commitment. Closed shoes are essential for the canyon section. Sandboarding is low-risk but expect to sit down hard at first; the learning curve is shorter than snowboarding but the landing surface is less forgiving on bare skin.
