One-to-one surf coaching on the Moroccan Atlantic coast - most commonly based at Taghazout or Tamraght beach breaks north of Agadir, though some operators offer sessions at Agadir beach itself. With a private lesson, the instructor can focus entirely on your specific technique issues: paddle timing, pop-up mechanics, foot positioning, or wave selection, rather than working through a generic group curriculum. Sessions run 1.5 to 2 hours in the water and are best booked in the early morning before the onshore wind builds. Board and wetsuit are included. For complete beginners, a private lesson will get you standing faster than a group class simply because you get more one-on-one water time. For intermediate surfers, it is an efficient way to identify bad habits that have calcified through self-teaching. The instructor will assess your level before entering the water and pitch the session accordingly. Taghazout beach break is a forgiving right-hander on smaller days, ideal for beginners to low-intermediate surfers. If swell exceeds 1.5 metres, the instructor may move you to a calmer location. Minimum age is generally 8 to 10 years. Surfers with shoulder or rotator cuff injuries should mention this before booking.
