Two of Agadir’s most photographed attractions in a single half-day outing: the Crocoparc (exactly what it sounds like - crocodiles, in a park) and the argan-tree-climbing goats that have launched a thousand Instagram posts. Neither experience will change your life, but at EUR28 for a six-hour excursion with transport, both are genuinely entertaining and the goats are more bizarre in person than any photo suggests.
What actually happens
Your driver takes you first to see the tree-climbing goats along the road between Agadir and Essaouira. These are real goats that really do climb argan trees to eat the fruit. Nomadic herders manage them, and yes, there is an element of staging for tourists - the herders know exactly when to have the goats in the trees. You stop for photos. It is absurd and wonderful. Then you continue to Crocoparc, a well-maintained reptile park on the outskirts of Agadir that houses over 300 Nile crocodiles in lush gardens along with a cactus garden and small botanical collection. Entry is included. You wander at your own pace for an hour or two before being driven back.
Our honest take
The 4.9 rating from 29 reviews reflects an experience that consistently delivers on modest expectations. Nobody books this expecting a life-altering cultural immersion - you book it because goats in trees are funny and crocodiles are impressive, and EUR28 is a fair price for six hours of mild entertainment with door-to-door transport. The goat stop is brief and touristy by nature - the herders will encourage tips and there is an argan oil sales pitch. Crocoparc is genuinely well done for what it is, with informative signage and healthy-looking animals. Children love both stops. Adults enjoy them more than they expect to.
