The picnic is typically served 1.5 hours into the outing at a shaded or scenic spot - Moroccan staples of bread, olive oil, olives, cheese, boiled eggs, seasonal fruit, and mint tea. After the break, the return leg takes a different route back to the stable. This is a comfortable length of ride for people with some previous horse experience; at 3 hours you will be in the saddle for around 2.5 hours of actual riding, which is tiring on the lower back and inner thighs if you are not used to it. The horses are accustomed to varying rider experience and the guides adjust pace accordingly. Helmets are provided. Bring water, sunscreen, and close-toed shoes.
