    Fly into Casablanca in the morning or afternoon and enjoy private pick up and transportation from the airport to your hotel. (Flights into Rabat can also be accommodated.)     No visit to Fes is complete without seeing the famed Chouara Tanneries which have been in operation since the 13th century and still use traditional methods and goods for softening and dyeing leather.

    Today, you’ll leave the high energy of Fes and journey to Merzouga, the gateway of the Sahara. Your journey will take you through both the Mid-Atlas and High Atlas Mountains with stops for coffee and lunch.

    You’ll get your first taste of the incredible Sahara desert with a 4-wheel drive through the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes.

    Sunrise over the Sahara is just as impressive as sunset, so you’ll want to wake up early to see how the desert lights up. After breakfast, you’ll ride back to your vehicle via camel or 4x4, whichever you prefer.

    In the afternoon, you’ll experience the stunning cliffs of Todra Canyon. Your guide will accompany you on a walk along the riverside at the base of Todra Gorge.

    On your way to Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll drive through Dades Valley before visiting the incredibly well preserved Kasbah Amridel in Skoura.

    After Skoura, you’ll drive to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Moroccan Hollywood,” where your guide can arrange for an optional studio tour.

    Ait Ben Haddou.

    Later in the afternoon, you’ll reach the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, another UNESCO world heritage site. Your guide will lead you through the Ksar to the pinnacle of the village and will also take you to visit a women’s cooperative if you’re interested in learning about or purchasing an authentic Moroccan rug.

    After a night near Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll make your way to the bustling city of Marrakech where you’ll visit the exotic and historic Djemaa El Fna square. Your guide will also orient you to the medina where you may want to explore more the next day.
